A few stats from the first year:
- 6747 miles travelled
- 45 nights away
- 3 out of 4 of the compass points on the UK mainland visited (South, West and East. Bonus point: South West)
- 3 ferry journeys
- 2 rescues by the AA
- 2 celebratory cakes
- 1 pheasant fatality
- 1 tow out of a campsite mud bath
We completely failed to notice that the Blog was 1 year old. So happy birthday blog!
There’s also been a lack of updates since we returned from our quest to find mainland UK’s most easterly point. Poor Betty Bus has been off the road. We’ve been trying to track down an overheating issue (changed just about everything, so is probably the gauge not showing the correct temperature). Then the poor old girl had a starting problem (now fixed) and another oil leak.
But we’ll be back on the road soon for another year of adventures, mild peril and sleeping in service stations.
